“Lot 401” is a Sugar Cane denim made with Hawaiian indigo, which is a counterweight to the Ryukyu indigo model. The silhouette is a regular straight cut similar to the 1947 model (Lot No. SC41947). The fabric has a strong blue hue and is characterized by its uneven texture. The label is a hair-on-hide with a branded image of a turtle, which is considered a divine messenger in Hawaii, and the back pocket has hand-embroidered sashiko stitching.
SUGAR CANE FIBER DENIM
“Sugar Cane denim” is an original denim made with the brand name SUGAR CANE. The fiber called “bagasse”, which remains after refining sugar, is mixed with cotton and woven into the fabric. This denim, made from recycled sugar cane, has antibacterial, deodorizing, and antistatic properties due to the amino acid effect contained in Sugar Cane.

Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC15650 / 14.25oz Black Denim Jacket 1953 Model
This is a 1953 model, a transitional period when denim jackets were changing from workwear to casual wear. It is commonly known as the 2nd. This classic piece, which represents the 1950s, is made from original black denim, with black warp threads and off-white weft threads. It is woven with uneven warp threads of #7 and weft threads of #6, and is a 14.25 oz selvedge denim, with white and red edges. The black is dyed using sulfur dye, which fades deeply over time with wear.

Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC29682 / Red Chambray LS Work Shirt
This red chambray shirt uses red thread dyed after analyzing vintage fabrics for the warp and natural-colored thread for the weft. Both chest pockets have flaps to prevent items from falling out. High-stress areas such as the shoulders, armholes, and sides are reinforced with durable triple stitching. The stitching pattern was chosen after testing numerous options, ultimately selecting natural-coloured thread.

The 1947 model of black denim, which will be available from this season, has been given an intense wash and released. Not only is the denim fabric faded and the seams puckered, but the aging of the cotton thread stitching, leather patches, and metal parts are also attractive. The details of the buttons and rivets, hidden rivets, and regular straight silhouette remain the same, but the length is unified so that hemming is not necessary.

Jeans with a slim tapered fit made in organic comfort stretch denim. It tapers evenly from the hip down to the ankle, an aspect that has made Lean Dean one of the most popular fits.
Jeans made in comfort stretch denim. Like the name implies, this dry, deep blue, option has been through 16 indigo dips. Unlike other stretch denim, these are not rinsed, so they are stiffer, and will shrink a bit more. Account for inseam shrinkage of 2% and 4.5-6% in width. Thus, sizing down is not recommended.

Normally, when denim is dyed part of the dye will absorb in the cotton fiber while the rest remains bound only to the surface of the yarns. This is what gives denim its aging property that in many cases is sought after. However, when it comes to black jeans this is not always the case which is why Nudie Jeans Co. developed the Everblack denim. The technical difference between Everblack and regular black denim is that it utilises a method and type of dyestuff that allows improved absorption as well as a stronger fixation. This results in denim with a significantly greater colourfastness, which does not fade with wearing and washing.
