Analyzing deadstock Headlight all-in-one garments from the 1930s-40s, a very rare herringbone twill fabric was created, featuring randomly arranged weaves of varying pitches. Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC28652 / Coke Stripe LS Work Shirt – Beige
This is a reproduction of the "Coke stripe" work shirt that was used as a uniform by a major American beverage manufacturer in the 1950s and 1960s. It features a tough fabric that can withstand the transportation of heavy bottles. The herringbone twill fabric was woven on an old-fashioned power loom by analyzing deadstock (vintage found in brand new condition) owned by Sugar Cane. New colors navy and green are also available from this season. The clean
design without a collar stand or placket goes well with the striped pattern. The top of the flap of the left chest pocket is equipped with a throttle for a pen, and there is an additional pen pocket inside the pocket. The back yoke and cuffs are gathered instead of tucked. The side slits are made of a power cloth with selvedge, making it sturdy.

Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC40301 / 14oz Ryukyu(Okinawa) Indigo Mixed Left Twill Denim
"Lot 301" is a Sugar Cane denim woven with a 50% cotton and 50% sugar cane blend. It is dyed with a combination of Okinawan Ryukyu indigo and indigo, resulting in a deep, reddish denim. The label is made of python leather and features a logo painted with lacquer. The silhouette is a regular straight cut similar to the 1947 model (Lot No. SC41947).
SUGAR CANE FIBER DENIM
"Sugar Cane denim" is an original denim made using the brand name SUGAR CANE. The fiber called "bagasse" that remains after refining sugar is mixed with cotton and woven into the fabric. This denim is made from recycled sugar cane and has antibacterial, deodorizing, and antistatic properties due to the amino acid effect contained in Sugar Cane.

Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC51842 / 11oz Hickory Stripe Work Shorts
Just like the vintage, these work pants are made of 11 ounce hickory stripe fabric, woven on an old shuttle loom, for a crisp look. The navy part of the stripe pattern is rope-dyed indigo, and will fade over time, just like denim. You can expect the pants to age well with repeated wear over the years. We also offer "Lot No. SC41823," a full-length work pant made of the same hickory stripe fabric and with the same details.
Details:
The front button fly uses black painted swivel donut buttons. The crotch and other major areas are sewn with a triple needle roll stitch. The right front pocket also has a coin pocket. The left side has a hammer loop for hanging a hammer, and the right side has a rule and pliers pocket for storing pliers. Union ticket attached to the inside of the pocket. Clothing made by unions, an American labor union, is called "union made," and at the time, union tickets were sewn into the products.

SugarCane's masterpiece "1947 model" has been newly released in black denim, which has seen a rise in prices even for vintage items in recent years. The fabric is woven with black on the warp and ecru on the weft, and like indigo, it is a material that can be enjoyed over time. The details fully reproduce the luxurious specifications seen in jeans from the late 1940s after the war, and the stitching is unified in black. The silhouette is regular straight.

After the second world war, SugarCane's masterpiece "1947 model" fully reproduces the luxurious details found in jeans in the late 1940s. Based on vintage denim, we are particular about the entire process of spinning, dyeing, weaving and sewing. The finishing has it all to fit the name of "STANDARD DENIM".
