Heavyweight T-shirt that feels like a sweatshirt

Warehouse & Co. Lot 4601H Henley T-Shirt (Oatmeal)
It is a standard body of Warehouse & Co. It is knitted with an old-fashioned low gauge knitting machine, which is said to be "rare than a hanging knitting machine". This fabric, which is knitted with the 12th uneven thread so that a unique shadow appears, is called a shadow border, and although it is plain, a slight unevenness like a horizontal row appears. Buzz Rickson’s Lot BR12744 / US NAVY Dungaree Jumper
This denim utility jacket was adopted by the US Navy in the 1930s. Its official name is a dungaree jumper, and the warp threads are dyed with a dark indigo dye to hide stains from work, while the weft threads are made of twisted heather yarn. The buttons are fastened with a G-ring from the back, which is called a "change button." Unlike tuck buttons, they do not require special fastening tools, and since they are not fastened with threads, they have a rational detail that prevents them from falling off due to thread breakage. The collar is a shawl collar with no tip, so that it will not flap even when exposed to strong winds when working on the deck of a ship, and the back of the collar is cut on the bias, so after repeated washing, a unique distortion appears as wrinkles, giving it a deep flavor.

Kyosai Kawanabe has been observing and sketching various things since childhood. He was also known as a prolific painter, and in addition to caricatures, he worked on a wide range of genres such as paintings and prints. He also exhibited many of his works at exhibitions called ``shogakai,'' which were popular until the first half of the Meiji period, and was very active. In 1881, he published Kyosai Manga, which is also the subject of this shirt. His life was short, at the age of 57, but his drawing skills and eccentric ideas that impressed even his masters gave rise to a number of caricatures and comics that are said to have laid the foundations of modern animation and comics. supported.
In this design, black is the base color, and "Kyosai Manga" is printed using a calm color gradation. The aloha shirt expresses the appearance of a skeleton emerging from the darkness. The scene where the skeletons are lined up in various poses and drawn with a touch full of dynamism leaves a strong impression on the viewer.
