Hawaii is the island where the headquarters of the US Navy’s 7th Fleet is located and where all US military bases are located. Since many soldiers have been stationed in Hawaii for a long time, local workwear manufacturers and tailors have also played the role of contractors supplying uniforms and combat clothing to soldiers. Taking advantage of this background, they developed work pants with a different fabric based on military trousers. These were also popular among Hawaiian railroaders.
HAWAIIAN WORK WEARAfter
Japanese immigrants came to Hawaii, the first place they were given to work was the sugar cane plantation. There was a railroad there for a long time, and it was used as a means of transporting harvested sugar cane to sugar mills and as a means of transportation between their living base and the plantation. While unraveling the history of Hawaiian workwear, Sunsurf focused on a railroad company that existed in the past called the “Hilo Railroad Company”. Based on documents from that time, we will reproduce its unique specifications.

The chambray shirt, adopted by the U.S. Navy, is a long-lasting utility shirt that has been issued continuously from the 1930s to the present day. This chambray shirt is a reproduction of the shirt adopted in the 1950s. While the style and specifications have changed over time, the shirts adopted from the beginning until the 1950s featured gussets on both sides of the hem, a stand collar, and a placket—the specifications of the good old days. The chambray fabric from this era has a loose tension, and repeated washing causes it to shrink, resulting in a unique texture. The white chambray is an original design by Buzz Rickson's.

Dubble Works Lot 37001 Heavy Weight Short Sleeve Tee – Black
This is a "STAND WHEELER" heavy weight series, which has been well received every season.
Most heavy weight jerseys are made with medium-thick yarn and knitted quite tightly, which can make them feel stiff and rough against the skin. However, by knitting tightly with thick No.8 yarn, there is little room in stitches, resulting in a moderate stretch.
Although the thick yarn gives a rugged look, it still feels soft against the skin.
