This is a 1953 model from the transitional period when denim jackets were changing from workwear to casual wear. It is commonly known as the 2nd. This classic piece that represents the 1950s is finished in original white denim with white warp threads and off-white weft threads. It is a 13-ounce selvedge denim woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom with uneven yarns of 7 warp and 7 weft, and the red selvedge can be seen on both sides.

The black is dyed using sulfur dye, which fades deeply over time with wear.

This is a renewed version of the 11oz blue denim work coat that has been a staple item for many years. It is a simple work coat from a store brand after WWII, with vintage details such as a snap pocket. This is a model from before the collar stand was omitted, and it has a flap pocket on the right chest and a 3-in-1 pocket on the left chest. The large waist pocket has a patch, and there is also an inner pocket on the right chest. The shoulders, sides, and armholes are sewn with triple needle roll stitching for a sturdy construction.

This is a reproduction of the 1969 model, commonly known as the "66 model," which is known for being particularly well-made among vintage items. The patch is made of paper. The rise is similar to the 1947 model, and the silhouette is tapered toward the hem. Compared to other models in the STANDARD DENIM series, this model is woven using denim with less unevenness and a stronger blue color.

SugarCane's masterpiece "1947 model" has been newly released in black denim, which has seen a rise in prices even for vintage items in recent years. The fabric is woven with black on the warp and ecru on the weft, and like indigo, it is a material that can be enjoyed over time. The details fully reproduce the luxurious specifications seen in jeans from the late 1940s after the war, and the stitching is unified in black. The silhouette is regular straight.

Sugar Cane & Co. Lot SC42021 / 14.25oz Selvedge Slim Tapered
The SC42021 has a slim and tapered leg considerably from knee to bottom. It is one of the most distinctive differences among the other Sugar Cane's jeans. Another obvious difference is denim fabric used, which is the same flagship 14.25oz selvedge denim as the 1947 model that is well-reputed for its beautiful patina that is created after several years of wearing.
SC42021 has narrowest leg opening than any other models and higher rise than SC42014. As this is made of the same 14.25 oz selvage denim as SC41947 model can be defined as tapered slim version of the 1947.
