The Pure Blue Japan AI-003 showcases the brand’s signature indigo denim, combining traditional Japanese dyeing techniques with expert craftsmanship. Made from 16oz denim, the fabric is woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms to create a naturally uneven texture. The yarns are hand-dipped in natural indigo dye made from Japanese indigo plants, giving the denim rich blue tones with subtle variations throughout. As you wear the jeans over time, the colour gradually fades, developing unique patterns that reflect your everyday wear. Cut in PBJ’s Regular Straight fit, the AI-003 features a medium rise and a straight leg for a classic, easy-to-wear silhouette.
Pure Blue Japan (DNP-019-IDSM) 16oz Double Indigo Nep Denim Relaxed Tapered
Sumi-dyeing is a rare Japanese dyeing technique that uses traditional sumi ink to create smoky black tones on indigo denim. Made from fine pine soot and natural glue, the ink is ground with water before being applied to the weft yarns.
For its Double Nep denim, Pure Blue Japan selected irregular yarns with a unique nep texture—tiny white flecks and fuzzy cotton knots that create a snowy, three-dimensional appearance. Combined with Pure Blue Japan’s original 16oz weave, this denim offers exceptional texture, depth, and character, while developing beautiful fades with wear over time.
Nudie Jeans Co. Lean Dean Lost Orange

Made with a beautiful Japanese dry selvage comfort stretch denim that is produced by the legendary Kaihara Mills in Japan. The fabric has a redcast and an open construction that will render clear blue hues with wear. It has an orange selvage id line, a feature made exclusively for Nudie Jeans. We recommend 6 months of hard, every day, wear before the first wash, if not longer. This way you will end up with a beautiful pair of worn-in jeans. It sure is a long time, however, it's only a recommendation. As long as you give them love, the result will be great.
