Following the method of making wool borders at the time, the round body has a panel-like border, which is not printed but woven. It is thought that the design was created with lifesaving in mind as leisure wear for swimming and the sea, which was more dangerous than today.

To solve this problem with short-sleeved sweatshirts, Warehouse maintains a relaxed width and moderate length, while making full use of printing techniques developed with second-hand know-how to recreate the exquisite size of vintage clothing that is hard to find, with no skewing of the fabric, distorted prints, or colorlessness. This is a standard Warehouse body knitted on an old-fashioned low-gauge knitting machine, which is said to be "rarer than a hanging knitting machine." This fabric is called a shadow border, knitted with uneven yarn #12 to create a unique shadow effect, and although it is plain, it has a subtle unevenness like horizontal stripes. Rather than a modern neckline that slopes down extremely in the front, the neckline loosens as you wear it, creating a natural slope in the front while maintaining its strength by inserting piping into the milling.
