In the 1970s vintage, it is known as the “88/12”. It is a masterpiece that combines the water absorption and water repellency of athletic wear. It has a softer and more flexible texture than 100% cotton.

Following the method of making wool borders at the time, the round body has a panel-like border, which is not printed but woven. This fabric is called a shadow border, knitted with uneven yarn #12 to create a unique shadow effect, and although it is plain, it has a subtle unevenness like horizontal stripes. Rather than a modern neckline that slopes down extremely in the front, the neckline loosens as you wear it, creating a natural slope in the front while maintaining its strength by inserting piping into the milling.
