In the 1960s, the US military procurement headquarters in Japan chose to procure camouflage uniforms from Japan. This was because Japan had advanced printing technology, rapid production, and was also cost-effective. The patterns were left to the discretion of factories across Japan, which is why countless variations of tiger stripe patterns were created. Many of the early tiger stripes were made in Japan, but some were sent to Okinawa for sewing, and some were also manufactured in Thailand and around Vietnam during the latter part of the Vietnam War. These shorts are an original Buzz Rickson’s product that has been modified by cutting the length of the pants.

Henley neck undershirts have long been used by the US military and were an essential uniform for soldiers during demanding missions. This Henley neck undershirt is an original design by Buzz Rickson's, and the body uses slub yarn, which is found in jersey knit fabrics from older eras. The front closure is a different color from the body, creating a classic color scheme.

Nudie Jeans Co. Steady Eddie II Dry Selvage
Jeans made in dry selvage denim. This one is definitely Nudie's heritage, the 13.5 oz. Kaihara selvage that has been with them since 2001. A fabric with the potential to become the greatest looking pair of jeans you ever put on. The fabric is tightly woven and has a right-hand construction with slubby yarns. It has an orange selvage id line, a feature made exclusively for Nudie. We recommend 6 months of hard, every day, wear before the first wash, if not longer. This way you will end up with a beautiful pair of worn-in jeans. It sure is a long time, however, it's only a recommendation. As long as you give them love, the result will be great.

Normally, when denim is dyed part of the dye will absorb in the cotton fiber while the rest remains bound only to the surface of the yarns. This is what gives denim its aging property that in many cases is sought after. However, when it comes to black jeans this is not always the case which is why Nudie Jeans Co. developed the Everblack denim. The technical difference between Everblack and regular black denim is that it utilises a method and type of dyestuff that allows improved absorption as well as a stronger fixation. This results in denim with a significantly greater colourfastness, which does not fade with wearing and washing.
