Buzz Rickson’s Lot. BR11703 / US NAVY Denim Gas Protective Parka

SGD379.00 Inc. GST
In the early 1940s, the U.S. Navy adopted parkas made of denim material as a gas protection measure. The overall silhouette is loose as it can be put on and taken off as a pullover. The left and right straps around the hooded neck secure the gas mask hose. The placket has a complex three-layered structure to prevent gas from entering, and the hood also has a cord running through it to seal it after the gas mask is attached. This hoodie was worn with overall trousers, rubber gloves, and rubber overshoes. 100% Cotton
