Buzz Rickson’s Lot No. BR02536 / Cap Mechanic Type A-3
The Type A-3 cap was adopted in 1942 for Army Air Corps mechanics. In the winter season, the standard style was to wear a mouton D-1 jacket over a herringbone twill suit (connector) and wear an A-3 cap. Looking at photos from the time of World War II, I found that the mechanics wore a uniform style in which the brim was lifted upwards, which prevented the brim from colliding with the fuselage when forced to work in a narrow space.

Buzz Rickson’s Lot No. BR02537 / Aviation Associates OD Herringbone Army Hat
Buzz Rickson’s Lot No. BR02706 / Hat, Working, Brown
Developed by the US Army in 1934, the denim hat was adopted with the assumption that it would be worn with a denim jacket and trousers setup. The wide brim, which serves as a shade, is a donut-shaped hollowed-out fabric that hangs over a luxurious specification. The innumerable stitches that run around the outer circumference are done in a time-consuming "single stroke".
Blue denim is rarely seen in the vintage market and its existence is known, but brown denim is produced before blue denim, so there are very few existing ones. This special fabric, which uses brown natural indigo for the warp and unbleached and black heather threads for the weft, was intended to make dirt such as dust less noticeable. Stitch work of navy is effective against brown denim.

SugarCane & Co. Lot. HD02677 / Head Light 9oz. Brown Duck Work Cap
9oz. brown duck work cap. The head part is made from a single piece of octagon, and it is made to pinch the four corners and put it in the belt. There are two chrysanthemum holes on the left and right for ventilation, and the included change button can be attached. The rough chain stitch on the back side of the brim is to hold the core inside, and the details of the original construction are reproduced. At that time, it was developed in various materials as a shop cap that was easy to wash. Can be worn with work coats, overalls, and work pants that use the same fabric.
